Diana Taylor
Diana TaylorA native Californian, Diana Taylor is an award winning author, poet and songwriter. She has been a member of the San Diego Christian Writer’s Guild since it was formed by Dr. Sherwood (Woody) Wirt in 1978. She has published a book of Biblical Fiction, Journey to the Well, the story of the Woman of Samaria, articles in Christian newspapers and magazines, and has stories in four other compilation books published by Servant Publications, Harvest House and Barbour Publications. Her book of poetry, Wings of the Wind, came out in 2007.
She was an Elementary School teacher, K-8 from 1959-1980; has owned two bookshop/coffeehouses, and served as Financial Aid Coordinator and Director of Conference Services for Point Loma Nazarene University.
She and her husband, Frank, were married in 1990 and moved to Northern California where she began writing full time and participated in poetry readings. They returned to San Diego in 1997.
Diana sings with the worship team of her church, serves on the Board for Professional Women’s Fellowship, and travels as an inspirational speaker for Stonecroft Ministries. At present she is teaching a creative writing workshop at her church, working on another manuscript and collaborating on an Easter Cantata with a talented musical friend.
She and her husband have six grown children between them and ten grandchildren and live in the Pt. Loma area of San Diego with their dog, Chessie.
